Shane Henderson (Promise of Redemption) to headline ‘Rock The Troc’
Shane Henderson (Promise of Redemption) will be headlining the 'Rock The Troc' benefit show on May 19, 2018 at The Trocadero in Philadelphia, PA. 'Rock The Troc' is an event organized by Radio 104.5 Philadelphia host Cole Selleck, and all of the proceeds from the event benefit Play On, Philly!, an organization that provides music education to K-12 students who lack access. Know Hope Records is also a proud sponsor of this event.
Many other prominent Philadelphia area bands will be performing, as well, including June Divided, The GoAround, Commonwealth Choir, Sonnder and Summer Scouts. In addition, DJ John D of 'Through Being Cool Emo Night' will be performing DJ sets.
From Cole Selleck:
Rock The Troc: A Benefit Show" is my way of giving back to the Philly music community that I love so much. It was sort of a no-brainer when I decided to put together my own show, but I also knew that I wanted to do it for a good reason. That is why the proceeds from the show will go towards an incredible music education organization called Play On Philly. They give students the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of music and hone their craft. Rock The Troc will be a showcase of some truly talented well-known bands AND a way to raise awareness of the need for music education.
From Shane Henderson:
Rock the Troc is going to be an exciting night of new arrangements and special surprises! I will be playing a selection of songs from the various projects I have been in throughout the years - including songs Valencia fans will be stoked to hear. All proceeds go to benefit an organization we care deeply about called Play-On-Philly which brings music education to kids in inner city Philadelphia who wouldn't otherwise have the wonderful opportunity. This is an amazing chance to celebrate our beautiful community, and I hope you can join us in spotlighting the inspiring work Play-On-Philly does for our incredible city. Music saves lives - and music education is the conduit to that outcome. I am honored to do this with Cole Selleck and Radio 104.5 - I'll see you at the Troc May 19th!
